BAPS Motor Speedway

Legend Cars have been racing on dirt since their inception, but INEX didn't award dirt-specific national champions or host a dedicated national race for dirt until 1997. Originally known as Clay Nationals, the Legend Car Dirt Nationals has taken place at some of America's best and well-known dirt tracks. Dirt racing and Legend Cars produce arguably some of the best racing for U.S. Legend Cars and is growing in popularity. After two years in the southeast, the 2024 edition of the Legend Car Dirt Nationals goes back up to Pennsylvania to BAPS Motor Speedway; the second time BAPS has hosted the event adn first since 2018.

The original national event for Legend Cars, the Legend Car Asphalt Nationals made its debut in 1992 on Charlotte Motor Speedway's fifth-mile. In 1992 a single championship was awarded and won by Scott Porter. In 1993, the single division was split into two; Pro and Semi-Pro. The Masters Division was added in 1994 and Young Lions in 2009. Future NASCAR champions first won Legend Car Asphalt Nationals championships before ascending up the the racing ladder.

Since the dawn of the Legend Car, road courses have hosted them for competition. It wasn't until 1997 when separate championships and a season-ending national race was created for Legend Car road course racers. Originally known as the Road Course Nationals, it was renamed the Road Course World Finals in 2000 when the reach of Legend Cars had spread across the globe. The 2024 Road Course World Finals goes back to VIRginia International Raceway, November 15-17, taking place on the Patriot Course road course.
